Shadow of the City Music Festival to be held at Stone Pony this Saturday, June 18th
June 13, 2016 – The stage is set … Shadow of the City music festival returns to the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, NJ this Saturday June 18th. Originally scheduled to take place on the beach and boardwalk of Seaside Heights, NJ, the venue has been relocated due to unforeseen technical and logistical issues. All tickets purchased for the Seaside Heights location will be honored at the Stone Pony and gates will open at noon.
Jack Antinoff, of the band Bleachers and FUN., is the mastermind behind the Shadow of the City music festival which had its inaugural event last September. This pop/rock festival will be headlined by British rockers THE 1975, whose new album “I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It” debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200.
Other bands on the line-up for this event are Carly Rae Jepsen, BØRNS, Steel Train —which was Jack’s first band that he reunited just for this occasion—, FRNKIERO ANDTHE CELLABRATION, Bishopps Briggs, Shamir and Hana.
In addition to music, the festival will also feature a charity dunk tank —benefiting local LGBTQ shelters—, pop-up shops and carnival games.
